Subscription boxes are becoming more and more popular. From monthly beauty services to monthly home conveniences, the Best Subscription Boxes provide a variety of items at reasonable prices. It’s basically a subscription service where you receive products that correspond with their theme every month, on a set date. There’s no way to get around the increase in prices by subscribing to the box itself because they’re generally around $30-$40 per month.
They’re Everywhere
Just about everywhere you go, there’s a box. It seems like every month there’s a new one popping up and the trend is growing. I remember when it was just travel boxes and some cheap hair products and makeup. Then in June of 2013, Birchbox was launched. It was for beauty lovers and was moderately priced: $10/month for 4 samples–1 full size product, 1 deluxe sample, 1 mini sample and 1/3 of the original price for the product. Over time, it has been adjusted to include more products along with a larger variety of items each month.
They’re Trendy
The celebrities love them! We all know about Birchbox because of Gwyneth Paltrow. She’s the president of the company so that’s what gave it fame. Now, there are subscription boxes for every type of person you can think of; food, makeup, beauty products, books…so many! Some brands even have their own subscription services like FabFitFun and Ipsy with a decent price tag of $50-$100 per box.
You Can Try Products & Services You Might Not Buy Otherwise
I have gotten several services and products from my subscriptions I would never have used or even bought if it weren’t for these boxes. For example, I have gotten oil cleansers, Herbivore products and makeup brushes.
You Can Try Products & Services You Have Always Wanted Without Spending Much Money
One of the most annoying things is dealing with a product you spent $30 on and then you don’t like it so now it sits on your shelf and you’re out $30. With subscription boxes, you can try almost anything without spending too much because they’re generally pretty cheap per month but they also offer bigger packages which can be more affordable than just buying something without knowing how well it will work for you.
They’re Easy to Cancel
It’s pretty much as easy to cancel a subscription box as it is to cancel Netflix or Hulu. You just don’t pay the next month’s bill, which you can do through their website or their app. I generally cancel my subscriptions in the spring because I want to try new things and get back in the habit with my beauty routine. You can always ask for a box every few months (har har) and you can always return items within 30 days of receiving them as long as they were unopened and new.
